Copper Nickel Alloys Tube & Pipe of us meets the standard ASTM B111 C70600.
Cu90Ni10 alloy is a tube material with a composition of 90% copper and 10% nickel. The unique composition ratio of the CuNi 90/10 alloy tube provides it with a series of excellent properties. The Cu90Ni10 tube mainly consists of α phase, γ1 phase, and γ2 phase. The α phase has a face-centered cubic structure, is primarily composed of copper and contains a small amount of nickel, offering good electrical conductivity and plasticity.
The γ1 phase also has a face-centered cubic structure and is composed of both copper and nickel, exhibiting significantly better corrosion resistance and wear resistance than the α phase.
The γ2 phase is mainly composed of nickel with a small amount of copper, presents a banded crystal structure, and possesses high strength, high plasticity, and high toughness, effectively enhancing the overall mechanical properties of the alloy.
During the manufacturing process, by reasonably adjusting the alloy composition and heating process, the proportion and grain size of each phase can be flexibly controlled, thereby enabling the Cu90Ni10 alloy to meet diverse performance requirements for tube materials in various application scenarios.

1. Electrical conductivity
Although the electrical conductivity of the copper-nickel alloy is slightly lower than that of pure copper, the addition of nickel elements enables it to maintain excellent electrical conductivity while achieving performance stability that is incomparable to pure copper. At a standard temperature of 20℃, the electrical conductivity of the widely used Cu-Ni 90/10 alloy capillary (containing 10% nickel and 90% copper) is approximately 45% of that of pure copper, while the electrical conductivity of the Cu-Ni 70/30 alloy is approximately 30% of that of pure copper. This level of conductivity is sufficient to meet the requirements of most industrial applications for current transmission and can effectively avoid the problems of pure copper oxidizing and being damaged easily in complex working conditions.
2. Heat conductivity
The thermal conductivity of the Cu-Ni 90/10 alloy tube is approximately 60 W/(m·K), while that of the Cu-Ni 70/30 alloy is 50 W/(m·K). Although this value is lower than that of pure copper, combined with the excellent corrosion resistance of the Cu-Ni 90/10 tube, the copper-nickel alloy demonstrates significant advantages in applications that require both efficient heat conduction and corrosion protection.
3. Shipbuilding industry
The seawater cooling system is a key component for ensuring the normal operation of ships. The materials used in this system not only need to have excellent thermal conductivity to achieve efficient cooling, but also must be able to withstand the strong corrosion of seawater.
4. Electronic equipment industry
Copper-nickel alloy plays an important role in this field. Connectors with pins made of Cu-Ni 90/10 alloy have a moderate electrical conductivity, which ensures stable current transmission and reduces signal interference; at the same time, the excellent mechanical strength and oxidation resistance of this alloy enable the connectors to maintain connection reliability in high-temperature and high-humidity harsh environments, significantly reducing the failure risk of electronic equipment.
5. Heat exchange equipment field
Heat exchangers require materials that have both good thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance to meet the dual requirements of this field. Copper-nickel alloy, with its outstanding thermal conductivity and anti-corrosion properties, precisely meets these dual needs.
In addition to CuNi 90/10 Tube and Pipe , we also produce CuNi 90/10 Sheet & Plate, CuNi 90/10 Ingot, CuNi 90/10 Pellets, CuNi 90/10 Strip, CuNi 90/10 Rod, CuNi 90/10 Wire, CuNi 90/10 Disc, CuNi 90/10 Target, CuNi 90/10 machined parts.
